The goal of the City of Las Vegas Gas Department is to provide the finest and most efficient Gas service in the City of Las Vegas, to include residential, commercial and industrial accounts. The Gas Department takes pride in the manner in which we provide these services and it is our intention to continue to provide the finest service to our customers. The Gas Department's staff will continue to perform in a professional and save manner, and listen to suggestions that may assist the department to improve the service we provide.

New Service Requirements

1.                  Obtain permit from Community Development.

2.                  Once a permit is obtained, an application will be filled out on a new service. Customer will then set up an account at Customer Service located at 1700 North Grand and pay all fees.

3.                  Customer will be responsible for acquiring a licensed plumber to install their line from the City Riser to the house/mobile home/rental/apartment, etc…. After installation on the customer side of the meter, plumber will contact State Inspector for Final Inspection.

4.                  After approval by inspector the City will then install meter.   Customer again will get a hold of their plumber to do the final tie in or adjustments on appliances.

Gas Rates

Large Volume (=>2" gas line)

First MCF/minimum $73.80 each add. MCF $6.50

Small Volume (=<2" gas line)

First MCF/minimum $13.79 each add. MCF $6.50

** Does not include monthly Cost of Gas Adjustment (CGA).
