1. No outdoor irrigation or watering.
Motels & Hotels
1. Change of linen only upon customers request.
2. Swimming pools, hot tubs, ornamental fountains or spas shall be
closed. (The City of Las Vegas and Highlands University are exempt).
3. Must provide water conservation literature at time of
registration.
4. Hotel/Motel manager must provide leak survey to the City of Las
Vegas Water Department.
5. Provide pass to Abe Montoya Recreation Center swimming pool upon
Customers request.
Restaurants/Bars
1. Paper plates, cups and utensils to be used whenever possible.
2. Serve water upon customer request only.
3. Restaurant/Bar Manager must provide leak survey to the City of Las
Vegas Water Department.
Laundromats
1. Will close for two days a week.
2. Manager must provide schedule of operating hours to the City of
Las Vegas Water Conservation Specialist.
3. Laundromat Manager must provide leak survey to the City of Las
Vegas Water Department.
Construction/Concrete Companies
1. Limited to two days per week, utilizing City of Las Vegas potable
water.
2. Full operations allowed when utilizing alternate source of water.
3. Construction/Concrete Manager must provide leak survey to the
City of Las Vegas Water Department.
Car wash/Automobile Dealers
1. Shall not use City provided water for washing automobiles on
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. (Washing is exempt from these
regulations where the health, safety and welfare of the public is
contingent upon frequent vehicle cleanings. Such as, refuse
collection trucks and vehicles used to transport food and perishables).
Fire Hydrants
1. Use of fire hydrant water shall be limited to fire fighting
related activities or other activities necessary to maintain the health,
safety and welfare of the citizens served by the municipal water system.
*The City Manager upon consultation with the Mayor, Water Director,
Water Conservation Specialist and Water Treatment Supervisor may declare
an emergency and thus impose more stringent restrictions should conditions
warrant. This is subject to modification by formal action by the
City Council. |
