
Job Description
SUMMARY:
Work is evaluated through the reports submitted and the results of work performed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Receiving, inspecting, filing and storing incoming materials and supplies.
· Maintaining accurate inventory records.
· Issuing materials and supplies to various departments or individuals upon receipt of proper requisitions.
· Preparing requisitions, fuel logs and invoices for submission.
· Assisting in the purchasing process by obtaining quotes, soliciting bids, selecting vendors and placing orders for routine and non-routine items.
· Working with staff to research and resolve issues related to purchasing, inventory control and warehouse.
· Responsible for periodic inventory counts, audits and of year end closeouts.
· Operating a company vehicle to pick up and deliver supplies as needed.
· Maintaining a clean, safe and organized office environment, adhering to safety regulations.
· Assisting in other warehouse tasks as needed, including packing, unpacking, loading and unloading shipments.
· Will be required to perform other related duties or other related functions as assigned.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Must possess and maintain a New Mexico Class D Driver's License.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Ability to read, interprets and works with various forms of agreements, specifications and policies.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organizational skills.
Excellent communications skills, both oral and written, for interacting with vendors, colleagues and other stakeholders.
Basic computer knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Google).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and resolve issues related to inventory or purchasing.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Primarily works in an office setting, which may include exposure to noise, dust and chemicals.
Some travel may be required for pickups and deliveries.
Involves physical activity such as standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling objects.
Must be able to life and move materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds on average and heavier weights with proper equipment or assistance.
May interact with various individuals, including staff, vendors, contractors and the public.
