PSA 1/29/2026 3:00 p.m.: Election Season Reminder: Political Sign Display Requirements

With election season approaching, we appreciate the enthusiasm and civic engagement in our community. Please be aware that political signs are subject to City of Las Vegas ordinance § 347-22 (Temporary Signs), Section G.

Political signs are permitted only under the following conditions:

• Political signs or posters may be placed on private property only with the consent of the property owner.

• In residential zones, political signs may not exceed a total area of six (6) square feet.

• In nonresidential zones, political signs may not exceed 32 square feet per sign.

• Political signs are not permitted on public property, including but not limited to:

  • Medians

  • Light poles

  • Sidewalks

  • Public structures or rights-of-way

• Political signs may be displayed no more than 60 days before and no more than 15 days after the election to which they pertain.

Any person found in violation of this ordinance may be subject to fines or other penalties as permitted by law, as determined by the Municipal Judge.
