The City of Las Vegas Public Works Division is currently performing improvement work along the Gallinas Riverwalk, including the installation of a new decorative archway on the north side of the bridge off of Bridge Street. The Parks Division will be performing tree trimming along the Gallinas River Walk Trail throughout the month of November on the scheduled dates, from the walk-over bridge near the West football field to the entrance gate near NMHU and SECU off Raynolds Avenue. PSA 10/23/2025 3:30 p.m.: Road Closure Notice: University Avenue between 7th and 8th Street
The City of Las Vegas Streets Division will be performing road work on University Avenue between 7th and 8th Street starting today and continuing through Tuesday, October 27, weather permitting. This section of University Avenue will be closed to traffic during construction. Detours will be in place, so please drive carefully and consider using an alternate route. Starting today, the Outdoor Recreation Trail at Rodriguez Park, located at 1308 Grant Street, will be open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., seven days a week, for the fall and winter season. Visitors are encouraged to enjoy the cooler weather and peaceful atmosphere along the trail, which winds west into the mountains and features scenic views and possible wildlife sightings.
