PSA 10/14/2026 4:00 p.m.: Still Time to Register for Youth Basketball at Abe Montoya Recreation Center!
The City of Las Vegas Abe Montoya Recreation Center is extending the registration deadline for its youth co-ed basketball leagues for ages 8–10 and 11–13. The new registration deadline is Monday, October 26, 2026.
The registration fee is $60 per child and includes a uniform. The season will consist of six games, with game times and the season start date to be determined. Parents and guardians interested in registering their children may do so in person at the Abe Montoya Recreation Center.
Volunteer Coaches Needed!
The Recreation Center is also looking for individuals interested in volunteering as youth basketball coaches. This is a great opportunity for parents, former players, basketball enthusiasts, or anyone who enjoys working with children to get involved in the community.
Volunteer coaches play an important role in helping young athletes learn the fundamentals of basketball, develop teamwork and sportsmanship, build confidence, and most importantly, have fun. Whether you have coaching experience or simply a passion for helping local youth, we encourage you to reach out and learn more about this opportunity.
