Progress in resolving the water situation continues to advance steadily. Macro Companies, Inc. will maintain round-the-clock operations to transport water from Santa Rosa and Santa Fe, ensuring a continuous supplement to the City’s water supply for as long as needed.
Most areas are still experiencing stable water pressure, though one known leak was identified and repaired today. The leak, located and isolated yesterday in the Airport Road area, is being prioritized due to the complexity of the repair, which is particularly intricate.
The Water Treatment Plant continues to treat water at a rate of 1,300 gallons per minute, equating to approximately 1.8 million gallons every 24 hours. Pauses are occasionally required for backwashing to ensure optimal water production. The additional hauling of water has helped increase storage reserves and stabilize water pressure.
The Water Distribution Team is still actively managing pressure across the city. While conditions are improving, some areas may still experience intermittent low water pressure.
With the ongoing cold temperatures and fluctuations in water pressure, additional leaks may occur. Residents are urged to report any unusual water pooling by calling 505-454-1401 or Las Vegas City Police Dispatch at 505-425-7504.
