We need your help, community. Several dogs have recently arrived at the City of Las Vegas Animal Care Shelter, and we're trying to reunite them with their families. Some of these dogs do not yet have photos available, but if you've lost a dog in the past few days, please contact us as soon as possible to see if they may be here. To view dogs available, please visit our website at www.lasvegasnm.gov.

As of yesterday, April 29, the shelter is officially over capacity. Our staff is facing incredibly difficult decisions, as we simply do not have space to house all the animals coming in. While we work hard to transfer animals to rescue groups and find them permanent homes, the current pace of incoming dogs is faster than we can place them. We urgently need to make space.

To help get dogs into loving homes more quickly, we have waived adoption fees for all adult dogs. If you or someone you know has been considering adoption, now is the time to step in and make a difference. Giving a dog a home right now could quite literally save a life.

If any of these dogs belong to you, or if you’re interested in adopting or fostering, please call us at 505-426-3289. Every adoption, foster, and share helps. Thank you for standing with us and helping care for these animals in need.
