PSA 6/15/2026 4:30 p.m.: City of Las Vegas Seeking Final Applicants for Summer Youth Employment Program

The City of Las Vegas is encouraging local high school students to take advantage of the final days to apply for the 2026 Summer Youth Employment Program. With only two days remaining before the application deadline, interested students are encouraged to submit their applications as soon as possible.

The program received an outstanding response over the weekend, but a limited number of positions are still available. Interviews will begin shortly, and applicants selected for consideration may be contacted quickly as the hiring process moves forward.

The six-week program offers current high school students ages 15 to 18 the opportunity to earn $16.00 per hour while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a professional work environment. Applicants who are 15 years old must possess a valid work permit. Participants may assist with field operations, fleet maintenance, customer service, clerical support, information technology, project management, and other workforce development opportunities throughout City departments.

Applications will be accepted through Wednesday, June 17, 2026. Applications may be completed online at www.lasvegasnm.gov, submitted in person to the Human Resources Department at 1700 N.
