PSA 6/30/2026 5:00 p.m.: Traffic, Parking and Event Information for the 138th Annual Fiestas de Las Vegas

The City of Las Vegas is reminding residents and visitors to plan ahead for traffic changes, parking restrictions, and event preparations as the 138th Annual Fiestas de Las Vegas gets underway.

Beginning Tuesday, June 30, at 5:00 p.m., no parking will be permitted in the Plaza Park area. Parking restrictions will remain in effect through Monday, July 6, at 7:00 a.m. Public parking will be available at the City of Las Vegas Utilities Department parking lot on 12th Street.

On Saturday, July 4, motorists should expect road closures and traffic delays during the annual Fiestas Parade. The following intersections and areas will be closed:

• Bridge Street at Valencia/Paseo De Las Escuelas

• Valencia and North Gonzales

• North Gonzales at Plaza Park

• Valencia and Hot Springs Boulevard

• Morrison and West National

• Moreno and South Pacific

• South Gonzales and Moreno

• Historic Plaza Park

Temporary traffic flow changes will also be in effect. Valencia will be westbound only from Bridge Street to New Mexico Avenue, and Moreno Street will be eastbound only from New Mexico Avenue to Paseo De Las Escuelas. Limited ADA-accessible parking will be available on South Gonzales and Moreno, as well as behind the West Las Vegas Schools Administration Building.

Residents are also advised that Harris Pond will close to fishing and the general public beginning today, Tuesday, June 30, at 5:00 p.m. The temporary closure will allow staff to prepare the pond for the annual Kids Catfish Derby, one of the most anticipated family events during Fiestas. Registration remains open for eligible Fiesta events. Participants may still register online at www.lasvegasnm.gov.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to review the 2026 Fiestas & More Guide, a 32-page publication featuring event schedules, entertainment, parking information, community highlights, and other important Fiesta information. The digital edition is available on the City of Las Vegas website and the Las Vegas Optic website.
