PSA 9/4/24 ROAD CLOSURE

The New Mexico Highlands University Science Building has been closed as a precautionary measure to permit removal of outdated laboratory materials.

A HAZMAT team is on site currently removing containers to ensure proper disposal of these materials. The corner of National Avenue and 11th Street will remain closed until the removal process is complete. There is no immediate threat to the public at this time. We ask the public to avoid the area and seek an alternative route.
