2025 Fiestas De Las Vegas Feature: Las Vegas Police Department Urges Public Safety and Shares Plaza Park Rules for 4th of July Festivities

As Las Vegas prepares for a festive and memorable 4th of July weekend, the Las Vegas Police Department (LVPD) is encouraging residents and visitors to stay safe and follow all established rules, particularly in and around Plaza Park.

“It is incredibly important that safety comes first during the 4th of July celebration,” said Police Chief Caleb Marquez. “Many people will be celebrating, and some events may involve alcohol. We remind everyone: do not drink and drive. Our officers will be out in full force. Enjoy the holiday, but make smart decisions. Avoid spending the weekend in jail. Make it a time for good memories, not regrets.”

Las Vegas is expected to welcome a large number of visitors over the holiday weekend. Drivers should be extra cautious, as both pedestrian and vehicle traffic will be heavier than usual, especially near event areas.

To ensure a safe, enjoyable environment for everyone, the following rules will be enforced for vendors and attendees during the 4th of July festivities at Plaza Park:

1.      Follow all posted signage and obey instructions from police and event staff at all times.

2.      No parking or vehicular traffic in the Plaza Park area from Thursday, July 3, 2025, until the closure of the fiestas.

3.      Vendor vehicles are not allowed in or near booths between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.

4.      Vendors must carry in supplies or use personal handcarts to restock booths.

5.      No alcohol is permitted in booths or in the immediate park area. Alcohol consumption is only allowed in designated areas. Public intoxication and open containers outside permitted zones are prohibited.

6.      No sale of weapons or toy weapons of any kind is allowed.

7.      No sale or display of gang-related attire, as defined by the Las Vegas Police Department.

8.      Vendor setups must not block emergency access routes.

9.      Before 9:00 a.m., vendors must open and close all barriers when entering or exiting the park. Failure to comply may result in citations.

10.  Booths and equipment must not block handicap access in or around the park.

11.  No pets are allowed in Plaza Park, despite size or type. Only service animals are permitted.

12.  Permit parking areas require a permit. Unauthorized vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense.

13.  All vendors must display their booth license at all times.

14.  All vendors must provide a trash receptacle at their booth.

15.  No tent canopies or large umbrellas are allowed in the park area.

If you see suspicious activity or experience an emergency, call 911 or notify the nearest police officer immediately. The Las Vegas Police Department appreciates your cooperation and wishes everyone a safe and happy Independence Day.
