Discolored Water Notice for Legion Drive, 8th Street, and Collins Drive Areas

Tuesday, March 18, 2025 – 1:00 p.m.

Customers in the areas of Legion Drive, 8th Street, and Collins Drive may experience discolored water on March 17th and 18th, 2025. This is due to disturbances in the water distribution system, where increased demand or pressure changes can stir up naturally occurring minerals. The recent fire on Catalina Drive on March 17th may have contributed to this issue.

IMPORTANT: This situation is NOT related to the previous Mandatory Boil Order, which was lifted on Friday, March 14, by the New Mexico Environment Department – Drinking Water Bureau.

If you notice discolored water or experience any other issues with the water system, PLEASE contact the City of Las Vegas Utilities Department immediately at 505-454-3832. It is vital that issues are reported through official channels to ensure proper resolution. Spreading rumors or misinformation through unofficial sources can cause unnecessary confusion and negatively impact the community.
