Fire crews from Mora County and San Miguel County are actively working to control an estimated 500-acre grass fire located off County Road 35, just past the Fort Union Rest Area. Authorities are urging everyone to stay clear of the area to ensure safety and allow crews to manage the situation effectively.

The fire is being intensified by strong winds, and crews are making every effort to contain it. Law enforcement and emergency responders are on-site, and traffic disruptions are expected as they continue to work.
