Family Fun, Fireworks, and Fiesta: Celebrate the 4th of July in Las Vegas, NM
Las Vegas, NM — The City of Las Vegas, New Mexico proudly invites residents and visitors to one of the most anticipated celebrations in the state: the annual 4th of July Weekend Fiestas de Las Vegas. Set in the heart of historic downtown Las Vegas, this festive weekend promises an unforgettable experience filled with culture, music, food, and community spirit.
This year’s celebration will feature live performances from local Spanish and country artists, along with a wide variety of music that reflects the rich cultural diversity of the region. Food lovers can enjoy some of the area’s best food trucks, offering everything from traditional New Mexican favorites to creative fusion dishes.
Guests are encouraged to explore the surround restaurants, unique shops and galleries around the Plaza. Local artisans and merchants will be showcasing handmade goods, artwork, and other one-of-a-kind finds.
The annual 5K and 10K Fiesta Run will take place on the morning of July 4th. Runners of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to participate. To register, visit the Abe Montoya Recreation Center, or contact Chuck Griego at City Hall for more information at 505-454-1401.
On the evening of July 4th, the celebration continues with a spectacular fireworks display that will light up the Las Vegas sky over the NMHU Golf Course. It’s a beloved tradition that brings family and friends together in honor of Independence Day.
The excitement doesn’t stop there. On Saturday morning, the city will host its cherished 4th of July Parade, a crowd favorite that showcases local pride and creativity. The City is currently accepting applications for parade participants. Individuals, businesses, and organizations interested in participating can download an application at www.lasvegasnm.gov.
“This is more than just a celebration. It’s a reflection of everything that makes Las Vegas, New Mexico a vibrant and welcoming community,” said Mayor David Romero. “We invite everyone to come experience the music, food, culture, and sense of unity that make this event so special.”
