Contractors were dispatched immediately and have been working since 4 a.m. today to resolve the issue.Water pressure in Camp Luna is slowly improving and will be monitored overnight; low pressure may continue until the repair is fully completed. The Water Treatment Plant continues to produce water at a rate of 1,300 gallons per minute, totaling around 1.8 million gallons over a 24-hour period. There were intermittent pauses today to perform necessary backwashes to maintain adequate water production.
The Water Distribution Team is actively managing pressure across the city, and while the situation is improving, intermittent low water pressure may still occur in some areas.
City staff has continued to deliver water to individuals with critical needs or transportation limitations, and this service will continue tomorrow. All water distribution sites will remain open daily until further notice.
