PSA 3/17/2025 8:30 a.m.: Red Flag Warning Issued for Las Vegas and Surrounding Areas

A Red Flag Warning is in effect for Las Vegas and surrounding areas from 11:00 a.m. today until 8:00 p.m. this evening, and will continue tomorrow from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Strong southwest winds of 20-30 mph, with gusts reaching up to 45 mph, is expected today. These winds will intensify tomorrow, significantly increasing hazardous weather conditions.

Open burning is strictly prohibited within the City of Las Vegas to help prevent fire hazards.
