The Utilities Department will be flushing fire hydrants on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 around the City of Las Vegas. The purpose of this is to help maintain water quality standards and the fire protection system. Citizens may experience brief periods of discolored water or low pressure in these areas which is normal during flushing operations. The Water Division staff will be repairing a water line break on Thursday, March 3, 2022. the fallowing areas will be impacted by either low water pressure or water outage. Independence Avenue South Pacific River Road The road will be closed on Independence form South Pacific to River Road. Detours will be in place, so procced with caution.

Plaza Road Construction update. Plaza park will be closed on the south side for approximately 7 days and is anticipated to re-open on March 8, 2022. Please see attached PSA flyer for more information and details.

Starting February 25, 2022 Hay's Construction concrete crew will pour the raised concrete crosswalks in the Plaza area. Plaza will be closed near Moreno Street and North Gonzales for approximately 7 days and is anticipated to re-open March 3, 2022. Plaza parking will be available to the public at the Police Department, Our Lady of Sorrows parking lot on Valencia, parking along Hot Springs/Plaza in front of the Longmire office, Bridge Street, Utilities Department on 1th Street, and North Gonzales in front of Plaza Drugs. Valencia Street intersection at Bridge Street and North Gonzales will be closed for the duration of the cure time for the concrete valley gutters from February 14, 2022, until February 21, 2021. Valencia and North Gonzales intersection will be closed from El Encanto Restaurant to Valencia. The survey crew will be setting points for Bridge Street bumps-outs.
