The City of Las Vegas Transfer Station will be accepting loads of Yard Waste, Bagged Trash, Large Appliances, TV’s, Couches and Mattresses. All loads must be TARPED! Saturday October 1, 2022 Starting at 9am - Ending promptly at 1pm Out with the old and in with the new Tires are Limited to 4 tires per household No Semi Tires or Agriculture Tires will be accepted We will not accept cement, bricks, paint, chemicals of any kind, dirt or liquids. Branches must be no longer than 6 feet in length and no larger than 6 inches in diameter This event is for the Citizens of Las Vegas only, a current paper Utility Bill must be presented. Hay's Plumbing and heating is currently working on the water/wastewater underground utilities on Hot Springs Boulevard. Please follow all signs for detours along Bernalillo and Taos Street while work is being conducted. Please be advised, after multiple concerns pertaining to the bottled water that was distributed on August 17, 2022, the City of Las Vegas decided to submit samples of the three (3) different brands of water for testing(Freedom's Choice, Acadia,and Right Water).We have since received the results and we are pleased to announce that all three (3) samples that were submitted have come back as absent for TC ( Total Coliforms) and absent for EC (Ecoli).The tests that were conducted are SM 92238 tests which is an Enzyme Substrate Test. The City of Las Vegas along with FEMA has decided to distribute boxed water this next distribution which has a shelf life of ten (10) years. This will eliminate any concerns individuals may have concerning the bottled water. We appreciate your patience and understanding and we apologize for any inconvenience this concern may have caused.
