PSA 3/12/2025 1:00 p.m.: Mandatory Boil Order Still in Effect

The mandatory boil order for Las Vegas remains in effect, as previously announced by the New Mexico Environment Department - Drinking Water Bureau on February 18, 2025. The order will stay in place until the necessary conditions are met, due to ongoing challenges with chemical management, water treatment, and repairs to the water treatment plant. Progress is being made, but additional work is still required.

Recently, utility users received a notice in their bills "Monthly Reporting Requirements Not Being Met by City of Las Vegas." This notice, issued for January 2025, is unrelated to the current water situation that began in February 2025. The notice was issued due to discrepancies in the report, which required revisions and missed the necessary deadline. It is a standard template and does not apply to the current circumstances. Please disregard any drinking water instructions in this notice.

If you have any questions, please contact the City of Las Vegas Utilities Department at 505-454-3832.
