PSA 4-3-2025 8:00 a.m.: Winter Weather Headed to Las Vegas

A late-season winter storm is set to impact Las Vegas this weekend, with a winter storm watch in effect from Friday evening to Saturday afternoon. The city is expected to receive 4 to 6 inches of snow, along with winds gusting up to 45 mph, which could significantly reduce visibility and make travel difficult. Snow accumulation could cause slick roads, while blowing snow may further impair visibility, making driving hazardous.

In addition to the snow, strong winds may bring down tree branches, increasing the risk of power outages throughout the area. Cold temperatures will also accompany the storm, with temperatures likely dipping well below freezing. Drivers should exercise extra caution, maintaining a safe distance from other vehicles, and avoid unnecessary travel in affected areas.

Stay updated on weather conditions through local news sources and official alerts. For those planning to travel, it’s important to check real-time road conditions at www.nmroads.com to ensure safety and avoid potential delays.
