PSA 7/14/2026 10:30 a.m.: Gallinas River Debris Removal Work to Begin near Bridge Street and Mills Avenue

Cordova Construction will continue debris removal work along the Gallinas River on the north and south sides of the Bridge Street Bridge and the south side of the Mills Avenue Bridge beginning Thursday, July 16. Work will occur from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for approximately two weeks, weather permitting.

Crews are currently mowing vegetation and preparing the area for continued debris removal. This work supports the City’s flood mitigation efforts by improving river flow, reducing obstructions, and helping protect nearby neighborhoods, infrastructure, and public spaces. Please use caution near work areas, follow posted signage, and watch for heavy equipment and semi-trucks entering and exiting the site.
