The Las Vegas Police Department would like to inform the community of the new speed monitoring trailers. The trailers will be placed in high traffic areas to assist with speed enforcement throughout the city.
These trailers utilize self calibrating radar, and license plate reading cameras to gather data and assist with traffic enforcement.
Prior to any citations being issued the Las Vegas Police Department will conduct a trial period where if you are found to be speeding, you will receive a letter advising you of the violation. The letter will have a time, date and location of the moving infraction. After the trial period, citations will be issued for speeding vehicles.
