- PSA April 8, 2022 Beginning 4/12/22 the water on North Gonzales will be disconnected.
Beginning Tuesday, April 12, 2022, Hay's Plumbing will be disconnecting the water on North Gonzales. This disconnection will allow for the tie-in of the new waterline. The outage will be from approximately 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.. Once the connection is complete water will be restored to all residents in the affected area. The Utilities Department will be flushing fire hydrants on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, around the City of Las Vegas. The purpose of this is to help maintain water quality standards and the fire protection system. Citizens may experience brief periods of discolored water or low pressure in these areas which is normal during flushing operations. Starting April 4, 2022 Hay's Construction concrete crew will commence to demo, from, and pour the raised concrete crosswalks on Bridge Street. Bridge Street will be closed from Plaza Drugs and West Administration Building to Valencia Street for approximately 5 days and is anticipated to re-open April 9, 2022. Bridge Street parking will be available to the public at the Police Department, Our Lady of Sorrows parking lot on Valencia, parking along Hot Springs / Plaza in front of the Longmire office, Plaza area, Utilities Department on 12th Street, and North Gonzales in front of Plaza Drugs. Residential use reclaimed water may be obtained from the reclaimed water stand pipe at the Utilities service center located at 905 12th Street, and commercial use reclaimed water can be obtained from the Waste Water Treatment Plant.
