Public access to reclaimed water from the standpipe at the Utility Service Center located at 905 12th Street is closed for the season. The authorization for the use of reclaimed water under DP-1118 is limited to non freezing temperature and the current irrigation season which ended on October 31, 2022. The Utilities Department will be flushing fire hydrants November 1, 2022 through November 4, 2022 in different areas around the City of Las Vegas. Throughout the month you may also see flushing at the Montezuma Post Office, Valencia Street,Luna Community College,Tractor Supply, Rent-A-Center, Fire Station on Legion Drive,Little Moon and across from Victory Home Health. Flushing of fire hydrants is in conjunction with regular water quality testing for the health and safety of the community. Citizens may experience brief periods of discolored water or low pressure in these areas which is normal during flushing operations. - PSA October 14, 2022 LVPD would like to inform the City of the new speed monitoring trailers.
The Las Vegas Police Department would like to inform the community of the new speed monitoring trailers. The trailers will be placed in high traffic areas to assist with speed enforcement throughout the city. These trailers utilize self calibrating radar, and license plate reading cameras to gather data and assist with traffic enforcement. Prior to any citations being issued the Las Vegas Police Department will conduct a trial period where if you are found to be speeding, you will receive a letter advising you of the violation. The letter will have a time, date and location of the moving infraction. After the trial period, citations will be issued for speeding vehicles. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Together we can make our community a safer place for everyone who shares the roadways.
