PSA 6/23/2025 2:30 p.m.: Solid Waste Transfer Station Closed for the Day

The Solid Waste Transfer Station closed at noon today, Monday, June 23, 2025, due to weather conditions last Friday that made it unsafe to transport solid waste to Wagon Mound. This has resulted in excess solid waste and no available space at the transfer station.

As a result, residents may experience delays in solid waste collection services throughout the week. Continued rain, high winds, and muddy road conditions are expected to further impact operations. The City will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as needed.

Residents are encouraged to stay informed by following the Las Vegas City Government Facebook Page and visiting the City’s official website at www.lasvegasnm.gov for the latest information.
